DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. offers products and instruments in four main categories: total hip and extremity implants, total knee implants, environmental protection products and surgical equipment. 

DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. was the first company to introduce high strength forged cobalt alloy hip implants in the United States. And, in 1983, the company introduced POROCOAT Porous Coating, a unique porous implant coating for natural ingrowth of tissue into its innovative AML Total Hip System, the first porous-coated implant indicated for use without bone cement. Today, the AML is the single best-selling hip in the domestic hip market. The AML has shown outstanding clinical outcomes data with survivorship estimates as high as 99 percent at 10 years. The DURALOC Acetabular Cup System, the socket replacement used with the AML, is the marketshare leader in acetabular cups. 

Another of DePuy's innovations, the LCS Total Knee System, was the first and is still the only mobile bearing knee implant available in the United States. The LCS Knee, which has more than 20 years of clinical success, is a patented one-of-a-kind knee system because its mobile bearings offer a wide range of options to allow the surgeon to match the implant to the patients' anatomy. Through DePuy's acquisition by Johnson and Johnson in 1998, DePuy now offers additional market-leading products such as the P.F.C. Knee, the leading fixed-bearing knee system and the S-ROM Total Hip System. 

In the shoulder reconstruction market, DePuy's GLOBAL Total Shoulder System is a marketshare leader. The Global Shoulder System is unique because it allows a full range of motion in the arm and shoulder. 

Through DePuy Orthopaedics' O.R. Products segment, DePuy offers cement and cement accessories, environmental protection products, tourniquets/cuffs, surgical instruments and power instruments.
